2025 Land of Sky Regional Council Annual BBQ 

On August 20th 2025, Land of Sky Regional Council and our local partners gathered to celebrate our region at our Annual BBQ. 

We gathered at Bill Moore Community Park in Fletcher, which just one year ago was covered in 20 feet of water from Hurricane Helene. Gathering with over 500 people from our community at this same park was a powerful reminder of our strength, resilience, and progress as a region. 

We were proud to welcome North Carolina Governor Josh Stein, who joined us to share his commitment to ongoing Hurricane Helene recovery.

Renew NC Single-Family Housing Program 

Renew NC is the opportunity to help those who lost housing due to Helene to rebuild housing for low to moderate income families who meet a certain criteria.
